Electrocoagulation (EC) is an efficient alternative to conventional wastewater treatment methods with the potential for broader commercial implementation. EC involves the anodic oxidation and dissolution of metal cations within an electric field, utilizing a current to dissolve these metals in contaminated water. This empirical research undertakes optimizing EC's operational parameters and exploring alternative solutions for sludge valorisation to enhance its applicability and sustainability in addressing global water scarcity.
