Chemical recycling
I studied chemical and biological engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology (Lisbon, Portugal) as a part of an intergrated masters programme. I have worked on alternative technologies for wastewater treatment with a focus on secondary treatment employing algal biofilms and waste products.
I am currently in the early stages of my PhD, where I am focusing on examining the energy requirements of the bioeconomy and its barriers to decarbonisation. The overall goal is to provide insights into optimising energy usage and developing policy frameworks to promote sustainability within the bioeconomy.
