Niloufar Azizi

PhD Researcher

Teagasc-Environment, Soils, and Land Use

Chemical recycling

My name is Niloufar Azizi, but feel free to call me Nil. I am working on Ammonia Recovery from Animal Manure at University College Dublin, which Tegasc Johnstown Castle contributes; for my master’s, I was working on heavy metals removal from modified graphene oxide using non-thermal plasma in my home country, Iran.

On my current project, we are evaluating farm-to-wheel by determining potential recovery processes. I am incredibly interested in environmental science projects because I have always cared for the earth, environment, people, soil, water, and air. I value my project for two main reasons: first, agricultural factories are considered state of the art in Ireland; second, my goal is to get involved in developing and producing a more efficient and cleaner environment.
